A: Funky, playful, noticeable.
2. What's your favourite fashion trend of all time, and why?
A: Red lipstick – the power of red lips is unconditional. You can apply red lipstick, throw on black glasses, and you are ready to rock any party. Its transformative power always amazes me, and it works for all women, irrespective of your skin colour, hair colour, or body size – it works for ALL.
3. Is there a specific fashion icon or designer who influences your work?
A: No, not in particular. As much as I stay up to date with seasonal trends, I always tend to translate those in my own way. Everything around me is an inspiration: people, music, food, a trip to another city, etc.
4. How does the fashion scene in Dubai influence your styling choices and approach to working with clients?
Dubai is a cosmopolitan city. It gives us an amazing platform to dress how we like; however, I think there needs to be the right outfit for the right occasion. Have fun, be playful, but be respectful. Whenever I get a request for styling for a special occasion, I do my homework, I do my research, I check the DNA of the event, and then do the magic. That way, I can deliver the best look for myself or my client.
5. What are three trends we can tap into right now coming out of fashion week?
You need only one, and that is Gucci Rosso colour in your wardrobe for the year ahead.
